Website at the Justice and Human Rights Ministry of graft scandal shut down

Dozens of notaries flocked to the justice and Human Rights Ministry office Tuesday they scrambled for the treatment of their clients business permits, after the conclusion of a registry of e-government in connection with the system.

The website of the Ministry www.sisminbakum.com to deal online, among other things, creating and amending Regulation of the companies, was officially closed on Tuesday after the Attorney General's Office seized bank money and other equipment used in PT Sarana Dina Rekatama Mika (SRD), the Ministry of the partner with the site.

The items were seized as evidence in a case that centers on the register online purchases and transactions, and would have involved several current and former senior officials, including legal experts and former Director General Romli Atmasasmita governance.

If the closure continues, investors have to return to the manual, which takes more time - and often more expensive because of the need to pay bribes - the online system.

Yudi, an assistant to the Central Jakarta-based solicitor, said he had to wait almost four hours at the Ministry of Justice. He has eight permits customers through the online system for about two weeks ago.

"There are delays in processing permits a maximum of 60 days for creating a new company, and 30 days for the settlement of the change of an old company. Now, with the closure of the site, we do not know when the process is complete, "he said.

SRD was not seen in the office of the ministry.

Another employee of a notary office, Diana was not disappointed SRD had warned beforehand that he close the site.

"We still do not know what to do if nothing is done. We are very touched by this case," she said.

Although the online service is no longer active, notaries who want to treat their customers can always allowed to be taken directly to the office of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.

However, Yudi said the manual procedure requires multiple visits to the ministry, compared with only a time of application for the permit online, and requires a longer period of treatment.

On Monday, SRD hotma Sitompoel lawyer said the company had to close the service, because the equipment and money needed to operate it was seized by public prosecutors.

The AGO said the appointment of DTH launch of the online service has violated the rules because of the absence of an open tender. The case is believed to have caused Rp 400 billion in losses in the state.
